Quilt Fail

Blah, I tried to make a baby quilt, but it was a bit of a failure. Everything is off (Although the only reason it looks lumpy in the picture is because I haven't straightened out the batting).

Don't be too hard on yourself. Remember, we're just starting out with this quilting thing. :-) That's the same quilt I made for my friend, just in different fabric. I think you were with me when I got the stuff at Michael's :-) It looks good to me!

Cute quilt. I think you have done a good job. One suggestion: Press your fabric before you sew and press your seams as you sew. You can either press the seams open or press toward the darker fabric. And pressing is NOT ironing. Place the warm iron on the fabric, hold briefly, raise the iron and place down in another area to be pressed. Don't place the iron down and slide it on the fabric; that stretches and distorts the fabric. I hope this helps.
