Draws better than I do...

First, a clip found on another blog. The elephant can draw better than I do.

So my adventure out into DC went well. I saw this really fantastic band, The Raveonettes, playing at the Black Cat.

We also spent over an hour trying to find parking (don't worry, I didn't drive). The only guys that hit on me were not the kind you would let buy you a drink. I will not go into further detail. I did notice one thing while there. Emo kids don't dance. Sway, yes. Head bob, yes. Dance, no. Reminds me of part of an AFI song, we dance in misery. Watching them all just standing in front of the stage for the first band, just looking, was a bit odd. I kept asking and thinking, "shouldn't we be doing something?" For my part, I do not dance, but while I was there I did head bob and sway more than I usually would have. Some people did dance, but it was not the typical nightclub butt grind (thank goodness) you see.

Well, after all the fun and excitement, I have to do something a little more sedate--read Nietzsche's Genealogy of Morals.

That's all for today, Monsieur Antichrist.

For Izzy

Because I want to show some of my finished knitted things to my cousin Elizabeth, I am breaking my no post rule.

First, Koolhaas. I am very proud of this:

Next, the Amanda Hat:

Next, an Unoriginal Hat by the Yarn Harlot:

And finally, a Noro-striped scarf that I am also working on:

Talking to Elizabeth put me in a pretty good mood because school has been sucking lately. If you wanted to ask me for money or something, now would be the time. I wouldn't give it to you, of course (don't have any!), but I wouldn't laugh in your face as usual.

Going into DC tonight with the roommate and her friend. Should be interesting. We all know what a social butterfly I am. I hope I just manage not to offend anyone too badly. Need to read Nietzsche now. Wee.
