The only thing worse would be knit-block. Now, if it makes you feel better, you're still a Pisces. The change doesn't affect the astrological signs we use in the West. I actually read an article explaining the whole thing and how "our" zodiac is done differently that the Eastern zodiac and that's what's been changes. You can either press the seams open or press toward the darker fabric. And pressing is NOT ironing. Place the warm iron on the fabric, hold briefly, raise the iron and place down in another area to be pressed. Don't place the iron down and slide it on the fabric; that stretches and distorts the fabric. I hope this helps.nv9patchhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16475975330316865191noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1242668481477528172.post-37544390420614327172010-02-21T21:25:43.451-05:002010-02-21T21:25:43.451-05:00Don't be too hard on yourself. The nook is a tad narrower, but the kindle is thinner. The full keyboard on the kindle is easier to type with, though the color screen on the nook is a novelty I suppose. The nook is heftier. The kindle has the same access as the nook to those classics, most are in the kindle store. Also, you can convert any format ebook to the kindle format. The worst about the nook is that you have to mash the heck out of the buttons to turn pages, whereas the kindle is a simple click.

The only things I like about the nook over the kindle is the matt finish on the back as opposed to the brush aluminum and the slightly narrower form. Though, the fact that the weight and depth increase offsets this fact.

If you're worried about space, remember that none of your books are lost when you delete them off kindle. You can redownload them at any time; I've had my kindle for nearly a year and have yet to fill it up as I know that anything I take off I can just as easily get again by a simple click.

You might also look at the iPad coming out from apple. It's supposed to tout a fairly intuitive ebook reader, though there's no feedback thus far about how the comfortable the screen is to read form as compared to the eink the kindle and nook employee.Philhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06416580404903867638noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1242668481477528172.post-14629827411871497502010-02-07T17:31:08.202-05:002010-02-07T17:31:08.202-05:00I have a Kindle 1 and I love it, but I would get a...I have a Kindle 1 and I love it, but I would get a Nook over the Kindle 2. With Kindle 1 I have an SD card for additional storage, but Kindle 2 doesn't allow you to add an SD card, and if you're like me you'll quickly fill up your Kindle. I believe the Nook will take an SD card, plus you get wi-fi and cellular wireless, and then there is the e-pub support. If you want more opinions there is an e-reader group on Ravelry that is currently discussing this very topic.

Carolyn (KnittingAmazon)Carolyn J.
